Intrepid to Release "Where There's a Sea"

Today, Star Trek: Intrepid is scheduled to release a twelve-minute short called "Where There's a Sea," in which "The Ariadne comes under attack from the Orions whilst transporting Lieutenant Cole. When Captain Merik discovers the full details, the fragile relationship between Starfleet and the Merchant Service Worsens." This is the third release from Intrepid, following the pilot episode "Heavy Lies the Crown" and the Intrepid/Areakt short "Orphans of War." Next up for Intrepid is the full-length Intrepid/Areakt film "Operation: Beta Shield," which is slated for release later this year, as well as "The Stone Unturned," a full-length Intrepid episode due out in 2009.

Defiant to Release "One Hundred and Seven Days"

Today, Star Trek: Defiant is scheduled to release its 26th episode, "One Hundred and Seven Days." It is anticipated that the episode synopsis, as well as the title and release date of the 27th episode, will be announced later today.

Beyond Releases "Measure of Peace, Part 1;" Scraps "Reciprocity"

Star Trek: Beyond has released the third episode of its third season: "Measure of Peace, Part 1." In this episode, "The crew of the Precipice return to Sector 185 of the Kilos Quadrant. The Captain welcomes a new First Officer (CDR Maku) & the return of an old friend (LT Parker)."

At the same time of this release, however, comes some bad news. "Reciprocity," the three-part mini-series about the Romulan-Klingon War, has been cancelled. Details as to why this decision was made are sparse, but it has been announced that there will be filler material to replace "Reciprocity," which was going to make up the nineteenth, twentieth, and twenty-first episodes of Beyond's third season.

The next Beyond episode to be released, "Measure of Peace, Part 2," has been completed, along with the episode after that, "One for the Team." However, as it seems to be the custom with Beyond, no release date has been set for either episode.

Dark Armada Posts Excelsior Ball Greet

Dark Armada recently posted a video that was originally shown at Excelsior Ball III, which took place last weekend. This new video shows some special effects shots from their test episode, "These Are the Voyages . . .," as well as greetings from the cast and crew.

Beyond Releases "Frozen"

"Frozen," the second episode of Star Trek: Beyond's third season, entitled "Heart of Everything," has been released. In this episode, "After hijacking the Precipice from spacedock in an attempt to change time [in a temporal war against the Borg], Captain Quest must face General Rodar and charges of disobeying a direct order." This episode marks the debut of Lieutenant Commander Fra-Oc, who is the younger sister of Commander Ravine and the older sister of Lieutenant Syn-Gin. The next episode, "Measure of Peace, Part 1," has been filmed and should be released soon, though no release date as been announced. This episode will introduce a new first officer, Commander Maku, played by Racheal Duerrler.

Lost Fontier Releases "Of Q and Women"

Star Trek: Lost Frontier released its tenth episode, "Of Q and Women," on May 30th. The synopsis reads, "It's anything but an ordinary day when Kate Niles gets an unwanted visit from her ex-husband . . . Q. "

While the next episode for Lost Frontier has not been annouced, the audio series releases a new episode at the first of every month.

Enterprise—TNG Releases Two Trailers, Announces "The Time-Mirror" Release Date

Star Trek: Enterprise—The New Generation, the new German stop-motion fan film, has announced the a release date for its premiere episode, "The Time-Mirror:" June 20th. In addition to the announcement, two trailers for "The Time-Mirror" were released. It is anticipated that this new episode will be originally released in German, and no release date for an English translation has been announced as of this posting.

Defiant to Release "The Far and Wondrous Distance, Part 3"

Today, Star Trek: Defiant is scheduled to release its 25th episode, "The Far and Wondrous Distance, Part 3." In this episode, "The Bajoran Prophets appear, but their message is less than clear. The Mothe Astra speak, the Firefly finds its target and Ry Emeras returns home."At this time, the date for the next episode release has not yet been announced.

Intrepid Announces "Where There's a Sea" Release Date

Star Track Begins Shooting 22nd Episode

Star Track, a parody fan film, started filming its 22nd episode last weekend. Eleven out of twenty-two pages of script were shot, and eveything is reported to have gone very well. Filming is scheduled to resume in two weeks.

Intrepid Starts Principal Photography

Star Trek: Intrepid recently reported that the the principle photography for the next full-length episode, "The Stone Unturned." The episode was described by producer Nick Cook as an archeology-themed adventure story featuring Star Trek's best-known archaeologist: Jean-Luc Picard, who will be played by Patrick Stewart look-alike Giles Aston. "The Stone Unturned" is scheduled for release in 2009.

Phase II Announces Next Episode & Guest Cast

Star Trek: Phase II announced that it will be filming a new episode this June, called "Enemy: Starfleet." Joining the cast this round will be "Mirror, Mirror"'s Barbara Luna, who will be playing, "a very surprising role for fans;" and G4tv network personality Kevin Pereira, with a role as Lt. Kevin Riley. While the details of Luna's character are under wraps for the time being, her role will be a lot more "substantial" than her role in "In Harm's Way." As for Periera, Lt. Riley's character is what James Cawley calls a "classic Enterprise crewmember."

The Expedition Releases "Loss & Redemption"

On May 1st, Star Trek: The Expedition released its second episode: "Loss & Redemption." this episode serves as a second prequel to the main story of the series, following "The Choice." The pilot for The Expedition, "Departure," is scheduled to be released this summer.

Enterprise-TNG Posts New Pictures, Trailer Soon

Star Trek: Enterprise—The New Generation added several new pictures to its website and announced that a trailer should be available soon for their first episode, "The Time-Mirror." Enterprise—The New Generation (Enterprise—TNG) is a new fan film project from Germany which aims to create new stories in the Star Trek: Enterprise realm through the use of action figures and stop-motion techniques.

Beyond Announces Third Season

Star Trek: Beyond, a series dedicated to the starship Precipice, announced that their newest season will commence on May 23rd. The description of the next scheduled episode, the title of which has yet to be announced, says, "In an attempt to change the near future, Capt. Quest puts her career on-the-line to save the Alliance."

Farragut Announces Animated Episodes

Yesterday, Starship Farragut announced that it will release two animated episodes, which will be produced in a similar style to Star Trek: The Animated Series. From the website:

"The two episodes chronicle the adventures of the U.S.S. Farragut, commanded by John T. Carter, and take place during what would have been fourth season of Star Trek. The U.S.S Farragut is a sister ship to the legendary Enterprise commanded by James T. Kirk. Episode one, penned by Michael Struck and Jack Treviño (co-writer of two Deep Space Nine episodes), is entitled 'The Needs of the Many.' The second episode, 'Power Source,' was written by Thomas J. Scott, an accomplished writer and president of Magique Productions, LTD."

The release schedules for these episodes have yet to be announced.

Diplomatic Relations Releases First Episode: "Rapprochment"

Star Trek: Diplomatic Relations released their inaugural episode, entitled "Rapprochment," yesterday. The new audio series tells the stories of the United Federation of Planets Diplomatic Corps, who "pick up where Starfleet leave[s] off." The summary for the episode says, "A recent Federation member planet gets special attention from high ranking Starfleet and Diplomatic Corps personnel. Why does it warrant this high powered interest and what legacy has Ferengi colonisation left?"

Diplomatic Relations is currently recording their second episode, "Agrément." As of this posting, no release date for this new episode has been scheduled.

Lexington to Produce "Fool's Paradise;" Pilot in Post-Production

In addition to their pilot episode "All in the Appearances," which is currently in post-production, Star Trek: Lexington announced that they have also started pre-production on their second episode, "Fool's Paradise." The Lexington website offers a summary of this new episode, which reads, "The U.S.S. Lexington picks up alien survivors from a ship which sent out what is presumed to be a distress call. However, not all as it seems as their new passengers behave badly and endanger the Lexington crew!"

No release date for "All in the Appearances" or "Fool's Paradise" have been announced yet, but information on planned Lexington episodes can be found here.

Hidden Frontier Announces Federation One

Rob Caves, Executive Producer of Star Trek: Hidden Frontier and its affiliates, announced yesterday that Hidden Frontier has a new fan film in the works. It is called Star Trek: Federation One, and according to the website:

"Star Trek: Federation One will be a four-part mini-series focusing on the President of the United Federation of Planets and their entourage aboard the Federation's diplomatic flagship, Federation One. 'Operation: Beta Shield' will serve as a prelude episode to this series setting up some of the cast and situations the show will follow."

Caves also announced that Hidden Frontier plans to unveil a new science-fiction project next year.

The Expedition Releases "Departure" Trailer

On March 18th, Star Trek: The Expedition released a preview for its pilot episode "Departure." The announcement, located here, says that this episode details the events that happen after a rift is discovered that allows travel between the Alpha and Delta quadrants.
